No one likes seeing dust around the home. Dust looks bad, and sneezing is never fun. But within dust there is something much worse for you. Germs that cause illness, and dust mites that trigger allergies, live on the tiny particles you and I call dust.

A uv sanitizer wand is one solution that might surprise you. Most people handle dust by sweeping and vacuuming. This may seem like a good idea because, after all, the place looks better when you’re done. However, you may not realize just how bad that can be for you.

When you sweep dirt up into a dust pan, finer particles of dust are thrown all over the room. You may think the dust is gone because you don’t see it, but most of it has just been kicked up and is floating around. Vacuums do the same thing, only faster. Only a fraction of the dust ends up in the vacuum bag.

A uv sanitizer wand uses a different approach. When you turn it on you activate a small UV (ultraviolet) light. This light fries germs almost instantly. Simply by passing the wand over a couch, rug, chair, book shelf or other surface, you sterilize it and ensure that nothing is living there that’s bad for your health. You’ll still need to vacuum from time to time to remove the visible dust, but when you do so, you won’t be dosing yourself with bacteria.

These advantages make a UV wand an important part of the household cleaning kit, especially for anyone with allergies or asthma. If you’ve never tried one, maybe it’s time to check one out!
