How can you bring some of the outdoors inside of your home? There are several things that you can do during those winter months to bring the outdoors in. Start off by installing indoor water fountains into your home. These fountains will provide you with the sounds of water gently running down a creek and add a whole new dimension to any room.
Another tip on bringing the outdoors inside is to liven up your indoor color palette. If you are too afraid to paint rooms inside of your home with bold and bright colors then you should still consider adding some bright colors with accessories. Change out your sofa pillows and accessories with some bright and bold hues so that you can liven up a room.
You will also want to introduce some different textures into a room to give it an outdoorsy feel. Think about some of the textures that you see outside. You can add a few straw mats throughout your home along with some indoor plants in order to capture the feel of the textures that you have outdoors. Get creative in coming up with a plan on how you can take some of the textures from outdoors and bring them in.
Lastly, you can capture the feel of outside by thinking about some of the accessories you love outside and bringing them in as well. Do you have a favorite set of lantern tea lights that you put out for every party? Why not bring them indoors and set them up when you have guests over? The small accessories you love to use outdoors can be brought inside and used as well.
